Dr. Cai was appointed as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of the Company in December, 2001. He has a Ph.D. in Mineral Economics from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario as well as sixteen years of experience in mining, public company administration and financing. Dr. Cai has been a Director and the President and Chief Executive Officer of Minco Mining & Metals Corporation since February, 1996, a TSE listed company involved in mining exploration and development in China. Dr. Cai is also the co-founder of Dragon Pharmaceuticals Inc., a U.S. listed biotech company. Dr. Cai has extensive experience in conducting business in China and is currently the Chairman of the Board of a number of Sino-foreign joint ventures.

Mr. Chai is a graduate of the Beijing Foreign Trade and Economics University. Mr. Chai has been Vice President of Beijing Toronto International Hospital since July 1997. He has also been a Director of Tricon Laboratories Inc. and Tracon Industries Corp. since 1994 and a Director of Interhealth Canada (China) Inc. since December 1995. These companies operate biotech laboratories in the Toronto area, which provide testing, research and development services in respect of diseases such as Aids and Hepatitis. He has had over ten years experience in representing North American companies in respect of their operations in China. Mr. Chai also has extensive experience as marketing and sales representatives for a variety of American and Japanese product lines and systems in the textile, shipbuilding and food industries in the Chinese market. He has also had extensive experience in commodities trading and joint venture negotiations involving Chinese, Japanese and US companies.

Ms. Bergstrom has served as an officer and director of several public companies over the past 20 years. She is a native of Houston, Texas and attended the University of Houston for two years. She is the President of LGM -- Lions Gate Management Ltd., a consulting company providing corporate services to public companies.

Dr. Michael Doggett is the Director of the Mineral Exploration Master’s Program and Associate Professor in the Department of Geological Sciences and Geological Engineering at Queen’s University. He holds degrees in geology and mineral economics from Mount Allison University and Queen’s University. His primary expertise and research interest relate to the economic analysis of mineral exploration and acquisition in Canada and globally. Dr. Doggett has taught professional development seminars in exploration and project evaluation to more than 600 industry participants in a dozen countries. He also has carried out a range of consulting activities with mining companies, governments and international agencies. He currently sits as a Director of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada and on the Committee for Earth Resources on the United States National Academy of Sciences.
